Awake from a Crash
Sitting outside the house with friends, this poor little guy hit the window at speed and dropped to the ground. Knocked out for a minute or two, he slowly came to,moving his head, wings, up to a staggering standing position – no doubt a little scared of the predicament he had woken up to -and then flew off into a nearby tree to shake off the rest of the event.
Frankenstein’s Uke mark1.5
I featured this creation a while back and have since made one big adjustment – a new home built neck. The old one certainly had a look about it, but was too wide at the top, making it hard to play. This new neck (along with quality strings) has made a world of difference. Crafted out of seconds pine planks, it’s kept the build cost low. Next…practice!
Returning to Colour

We just past our shortest day of the year, which generally marks colder weather to soon come in New Zealand. It’s been a busy winter with darkness generally before and after work, and non photo chores taking priority over small image shooting items.
